Is the Student Direct Stream still open?

No. Every Bangladeshi applicant now uses the standard stream.

What happens without a PAL?

If your programme needs one, the application is refused.

Why are refusal rates so high?

Canada capped permits and tightened checks; about 64% of applications were refused in 2025, and Bangladesh was among the hardest-hit countries.
