Aalto University: highlights
Aalto University, in Espoo next to Helsinki, is Finland’s leading university for technology, business, and art and design. It ranks 126th in the QS World University Rankings 2027 and 9th in the world for art and design. Its tuition scholarships are generous, which makes it one of the more affordable European options if you win one.
- After HSC: your HSC makes you eligible, but admission to the English-taught bachelor’s programmes is decided mainly on SAT or ACT scores.
- For a master’s: a relevant bachelor’s degree, judged against each programme’s evaluation criteria, with documents attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.
- Tuition, non-EU: €12,000 to €15,000 a year for a bachelor’s and €15,000 to €20,000 a year for a master’s.
- Scholarships: tuition waivers of 100% or 50%, applied for on the admission form.
- 2027 dates: master’s applications run from 7 December 2026 to 5 January 2027, and bachelor’s applications from 7 to 22 January 2027.
