The short version
- After HSC: universities assess your HSC by country and programme; some ask for a foundation certificate first.
- Master’s: needs a relevant bachelor’s with the grades the programme sets; some ask for work experience.
- English: commonly IELTS 6.0 to 6.5 with no band below 5.5 to 6.0.
- Offer of place: required before you apply for the student visa.
How your HSC is assessed
The University of Auckland publishes undergraduate requirements by country and programme for common overseas qualifications and assesses others individually. Use its “Find a study option” tool with Bangladesh selected, or ask international admissions, to confirm whether you can enter directly or need a foundation certificate.
