The University of Helsinki is Finland’s oldest and highest-ranked university, joint 123rd in the QS World University Rankings 2027. For Bangladeshi students it is mainly a master’s destination: its English-taught programmes are at master’s level, and they come with tuition waivers.

Helsinki is the most expensive city in Finland, though student housing keeps rent below market rates.

The residence permit asks for €9,600 for a year of living costs, held in your own account. A tuition waiver does not reduce that amount.
