The short version

  • One portal: most English-taught degrees use the joint application on Studyinfo.fi, with up to 6 programme choices.
  • Bachelor’s: selection may use SAT or ACT results, an entrance exam or school grades, depending on the programme.
  • Master’s: based on your degree, grades, motivation letter and English test.
  • Fee: €100 application fee for non-EU applicants.
  • Scholarships: usually applied for in the same form.

The SAT route after HSC

At Aalto, admission to English-taught bachelor’s programmes in science and technology, economics and international business is based on SAT or ACT results, or grades from recognised diplomas such as the IB. For 2027 admission only tests taken on or after 1 January 2025 count, and scores must reach Aalto by 29 January 2027.
