Main intake

August / September 2027

Joint application 7 to 21 January 2027 on Studyinfo.fi, with up to 6 choices.

Second intake

January 2027

A smaller round ran 31 August to 10 September 2026, for a limited number of programmes.

Some programmes admit outside the joint application, with separate applications opening from late 2026.

  1. 18 to 12 months before: Research courses, eligibility, funding and scholarship deadlines.
  2. 12 to 9 months before: Prepare language tests, transcripts, references and your shortlist.
  3. 9 to 6 months before: Submit applications by each programme’s actual deadline.
  4. 6 to 3 months before: Meet offer conditions, arrange funding and prepare visa documents.
  5. 3 to 1 months before: Apply for the visa and plan accommodation and arrival.

Keep these dates separate

Study in Finland lists the national joint application as 7 to 21 January 2027 for autumn 2027. Individual programmes can differ slightly; Aalto’s Economics page shows 7 to 22 January 2027. Check your programme’s own page.
