Why F-1 visas are refused

The most common reason is Section 214(b): the officer is not convinced you will return after studying, or your funding looks like a recent lump sum. Show steady balances built over months, sponsor documents with official seals, and a clear reason for your course and university.

Bangladesh is not on either list in Proclamation 10998, so F-1 processing continues. The USD 15,000 visa bond introduced in January 2026 applies to Bangladeshi B1/B2 visitor visas, not student visas.
