ASU also accepts TOEFL iBT, including the Home Edition for tests from 21 January 2026, and Duolingo. It does not accept PTE Academic Online or the TOEFL Paper Edition. Completing ASU’s Global Launch English programme also counts.

How to apply and key dates
- Apply online
Use ASU’s own application or the Common Application, and pay the USD 90 fee.
- Send transcripts and test scores
Send them with your application so the evaluation is not delayed.
- Show your funding
ASU needs proof that you can cover the cost of attendance before it issues the I-20.
- Pay the enrolment deposit
First-year students pay it by the date below to hold their place.
- Apply for the F-1 visa
Pay the SEVIS fee, submit the DS-160 at least 7 days before your interview, and attend the interview at the US Embassy in Dhaka.

Money to show for the visa
There is no single national figure for the US. You must show funds that cover the first-year cost on your I-20, which for ASU is close to USD 69,906 for a bachelor’s student. Show balances built up over 6 to 12 months, not a recent lump sum, and be ready to explain your family’s income at the interview.
The F-1 visa costs USD 535 in total: a USD 185 application fee and a USD 350 SEVIS fee. F-1 applicants are asked to set their social media accounts to public.

Bangladesh is not on the list of countries in Proclamation 10998 of January 2026. The visa bond of up to USD 15,000 that applies to Bangladeshi visitors from 21 January 2026 is for B1/B2 visitor visas, not F-1 student visas.
