University of Warwick: highlights
The University of Warwick is a Russell Group university near Coventry in central England, ranked joint 68th in the QS World University Rankings 2027. Its Bangladesh page is unusually specific: it names the Bangladeshi universities whose degrees it recognises and gives the GPA needed for each UK degree class.
- After HSC: HSC students are not eligible for direct entry. The route is the Warwick International Foundation Programme.
- For a master’s: A 4-year bachelor’s degree (awarded from 2025), or a 3-year bachelor’s plus a 1-year master’s, from one of the recognised universities. A UK 2:1 equals GPA 3.0 to 3.3 out of 4.
- Tuition: £21,950 to £37,310 a year for overseas bachelor’s students in 2027-28, depending on the fee band.
- English: IELTS 6.5 with no component below 6.0 for Band A courses such as Computer Science.
- Intake: September. The on-time deadline for MSc Computer Science is 2 August 2027.
Key facts

The UCAS fee for 2027 entry is £34.50 for up to 5 choices. HSC students apply for the International Foundation Programme directly.
- Master’s: apply on Warwick’s online form
Apply before the on-time deadline for your course.

Use your CAS, a TB test certificate from an IOM clinic and 28 days of financial evidence.

Living costs at Warwick
The campus is outside London, so the lower visa figure applies. As a guide, Study UK puts living costs outside London at about £900 to £1,300 a month.
For the visa you must show £1,171 a month for 9 months (£10,539) outside London, or £1,529 a month (£13,761) in London, on top of your first year of tuition. The figures rise to £1,203 and £1,570 for applications from 30 November 2026.
What one year costs in total
A bachelor’s year in Computer Science comes to roughly £45,400 to £49,000: £37,310 in fees plus about £8,100 to £11,700 for 9 months of living costs.

Can I get into Warwick with HSC?
Not directly. Warwick states that HSC students are not eligible for direct entry to bachelor’s degrees and need the Warwick International Foundation Programme. A levels and the IB give direct entry.
What GPA do I need for a master’s at Warwick?
From a recognised Bangladeshi university, a UK 2:1 equals GPA 3.0 to 3.3 out of 4.0, a first equals 3.4 and a 2:2 equals 2.8 to 2.9. Most master’s courses ask for a 2:1.
